In short

What stays on your device

Everything the app knows about you is game state: which levels you have solved, stars, hints used, your daily-puzzle streak, and your settings (sound, music, colorblind marks). It is stored locally on your iPhone and, like any app data, included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) — which is how it survives a lost or replaced device. We have no copy of it and no way to see it.

The daily puzzle

The daily puzzle is the same for everyone in the world — and it still involves no server. Your device computes today's puzzle from the date itself, so playing it reveals nothing about you to anyone.

Purchases

Zoupa offers a single one-time unlock, bought through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details or identity. The unlock status is checked on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework.

Sharing

The daily puzzle can produce a result image to share. The image is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it via the iOS share sheet.

Beta versions (TestFlight)

If you run a beta build through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share crash logs and any feedback you choose to submit with us, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. Beta builds also include a “Share beta progress” button in Settings: it composes a plain-text report of your per-level progress, device model, screen size and settings toggles, and nothing else. It is only ever sent if you send it yourself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
